Data source

Faculty, publications, schools and specialties are pulled from the academy website through a read-only API and refreshed periodically. Theses and projects are added from the admin area. The platform never connects to the website database directly.

Search types

Keyword matches words in titles, abstracts and keywords. Semantic searches by meaning with an embedding model running on academy servers. Hybrid merges both. If the AI service is down, the platform falls back to keyword search automatically.

Recommendations

Recommendations combine semantic similarity, shared keywords, related publications and recency; reasons are shown with every result. Scores are relative rankings only.

Knowledge map

Solid edges come from documented data (authorship, specialty, recorded supervision). Dashed edges are computed (semantic similarity, keyword co-occurrence) and do not imply an actual relationship.

Coverage

"Low-coverage areas" reflect only what is recorded in the academy database, not a global research gap.

Research assistant

It relies only on documents retrieved from the platform and cites them. Always check the source before quoting.
